Flood Mitigation Assistance Grant Awarded to Wildwood Crest
The Borough of Wildwood Crest was notified by FEMA and the New Jersey Office of Emergency Management that a Flood Mitigation Assistance grant in the amount of $70,875.00 was awarded to the Borough for the Washington Avenue Flood Mitigation Project. The grant will fund engineering and planning services that will include survey, storm sewer video inspection, stormwater management calculations, flood mitigation recommendations, and conceptual design. Marc DeBlasio responded, “Congratulations to the Borough. We look forward to working with the Borough on this important initiative and providing flood mitigation recommendations for the Washington Avenue drainage area. Our goal is to collaborate with the Borough on identifying practical solutions, completing a comprehensive report, and placing the Borough in a position to receive further FEMA funding for construction.”
